1501 or 6400?? Dell Notebook, Can't settle on?

I've get it down to the two choices with a $448 difference, the difference is the processor - AMD or Intel - mobile lasts longer on 6400 for some purpose, bluetooth option w/6400 (don't know how to use) Wireless grating card is Intel Pro on 6400.

I would like to preserve this laptop for the 4 years through college, so I don't mind spending the extra $ as long as it's not wasted. I approaching to have lots of programs running at duplicate time so the processor is very central. I'm familiar near the intel name & not the AMD. This is my 1st laptop, I enjoy main computer at home, this will be my major computer though during the week when school starts. HELP!! PLEASE Need to opt.

Answer:

Do you have links to the fully configured systems? The Turion is a nice mobile processor, but the Core 2 Duo is best (it also have lower power consumption which contributes to the Inspiron 6400 having a longer mobile life)

First of all, disregard the models next to Sempron processors- that's AMD's budget chip which competes with Celeron, and wouldn't be well brought-up for heavy multitasking.

If your processor choices boil down the Turion X2 vs the T2080, turn with the AMD system. If you're looking at a Core 2 Duo vs the Turion X2, after go near the Intel system.
