ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 next to 256MB of GDDR3 memory VS NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics next to 256MB SDRAM?

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 near 256MB of GDDR3 memory vs NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 256MB SDRAM

Basically I am considering a MacBook Pro for students vs a refurbished MacBook Pro. The prevalent difference is that the ATI Radeon is $300 cheaper (has 2.33 processor vs a 4.0 on the nvidia and the nvidia comes with a nano.)

Is at hand a major difference between these cards? Which one is better and is the difference surrounded by price worth it.

Answer:

Nvidia's is way better. An 8 series card is a top of the flash graphics card right now.
check to see if the ATI is 256 MB of faithful memory or is it shared with the computer. I believe the NVIDIA is faithful. Much better card. Thats the one that I have I believe and I love it. Its worth the extra money.
grasp the new one next to the 8600. the 8600 is dx10 supported if u want to run vista on it u can play high-end games. i have x1600 mbp.
