15.4 vs. 17...Sacrifice resolution for video card?

I'm getting a trial laptop and I'm stuck on weather I should get the

Dell Inspiron 1520: 15.4 near a resolution of (1680x1050) and a 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 8600M GT video card.

or

Dell Inpiron 1720: 17 with a resolution of (1920x1200) and a 128MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 8400M GS video card.

I'm a moderate gamer so I am looking for a clothed video card and i appreciate a good resolution for watching movies. I don't know if near is much difference between the two =P

Answer:

For movies, either one should be immense enough if your the just one watching it, 1680x1050 will let you view movies with impossible to tell apart clarity as a 720p HDTV, 1920x1200 can do 1080p HDTV but that close up, it might not matter too much.

Also if you want to play honourable games, I'd always progress for the higher characteristic graphics card, the fact that your home-grown resolution is smaller might speed up really graphically intensive games even more.
Dell Inpiron 1720: 17 with a resolution of (1920x1200) and a 128MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 8400M GS video card. is better within my opinion
