As a surgeon what features should i look for/demand while buying a laptop?Need it for study/presentations etc

I ask this because my fluency of computers is rather supporting.I'm working in saudi arabia...please give a hand to select something which can be serviced in India also.

Answer:

im assuming that since your a surgeoun you will own a good amount of money to spend?...

Well if you do i still would not shift with apple. Apple computers are designed for photo and digital logo editing, not presentations such as windows powerpoint. If you are making presentations, and do wispy internet browsing I would suggest a computer that comes with vista primmeium.

Also these are some specs you should try to catch, (these are minimums)

1gb ram

250gb knotty drive

3.2 gigahertz processor

any less than that will be consideribly slowed down by vista.
Lots of RAM, Hard Drive space, a nippy on-board video card, an audio card and a fast processor.
The worlds most respected computers at this time are Apple computers. The most popular are Windows computers. If you buy an Apple laptop it is going to be looked upon as an informed purchase. However, they are expensive but will do adjectives you need from it.
One dutiful choice would be the new Dell e1520. Comes near most of the top options within an alloy case. Also check out the HP 6500. They are the top two seller in the world. My contact reviews all the hottest LTs and give expert opinion;
IBM Thinkpads are universally serviced - worldwide.

Panasonic toughbooks are probably the most durable.

Being you need service contained by India, I would suggest a Thinkpad.

Best of success
this site will impart you a sony vaio laptop just for completing some fast online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want/need a laptop (like me).
