Looking for a topical laptop. It needs to own an intel dual core processor. I would prefer some version of Windows XP since colleagues report me that Vista doesn't work w/ most of the applications that we use in our department.
What clean laptops are available that still offer XP?

yes , buy acer aspire 5572 . its core duo , have webcam , has combo drive, 1 see ram , 120 see hard drive . they come preinstalled next to XP and VISTA . Choose the XP installed .
If you order from any website you are most feasible given some customization options that permit you choose XP or Vista, at least places similar to HP or Dell will.
Doubt it. I believe the Vista is the up and comming and everything is designed around that. Check Dell's and other MFG websites clearance bin. Leftover models from previous years are being sold stale..most have XP and XP pro.
Go for a Dell laptop.

BTW...Eventually everything is going to work next to vista, and most software will work better with it. So if i where on earth you, I would think of the long residence.
