Apple MacBook or Gateway Tablet?

im going to a university where on earth it gives me a choice of acceptance an Apple MacBook or Gateway M285E Tablet from them. I dont really understand the differences so here are some specs to them. i dont want answers close to...get a mac!! or get hold of a pc!! i want u to explain why lol. thnx!

macs are better. no hassle like on window boxes.
I came across this site that give you a free macbook in exchange for you completing a few simple tasks for them. I'm gonna try it out right presently! :)
