Any solution for nouns problem near compaq presario C500?

Whenever i use the laptop's within built speaker to play any audio file the laptop become slow.sometimes it hangs..but if i use any external speaker it works fine.Please can anyone narrate me a solution.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the nouns driver...but it didn't work...
