this is a perfect laptop contained by your price range you live contained by Canada right?
I'd shop around from one Best Buy to another. Each store has different clearance/return items available; while this seem cheap consider this: I was only at a Best Buy two hours ago and bought a $249.99 television stand for $19.99. The money I save went towards other purchases within the store.

$900 is a lot to progress towards a computer, overall. I'd say you should look at what respectively brand has to grant; which computer would better suit your nephew's long-term needs. Invest some time within doing a little research...Consumer Reports, what your friends and family unit use, etc.
I just bought my son a Gateway laptop from Best Buy 2 months ago for graduation for 899.00. It's really nice. t5300 core 2 duo processor, 2 megs of run into, 15.4 inch screen, dual stratum dvd burner, Vista home premium, wireless a/b/g modem, dark aircraft aluminum inside, amazingly sharp. I've seen it once after that again surrounded by the Sunday adds. Only draw vertebrae is that it has integrated video instead of a video card. It will still play most video games except the remarkably high finishing games. Other than that it's been great, he loves it. Keep an eye out Sunday. Good luck
