Is a AMD TurionTM 64 X2 Dual-Core processor TL-50 (512KB/1.6GHz) Fast for this sunshine surrounded by age surrounded by a laptop?

Answer:

It is a middle of the road processor for this light of day in age. It is not as briskly as the Core 2 Duos, but it is dual core and is certainly faster than budget models approaching Semprons or Celerons. If you are on a budget it is a good choice.
No.
You hold to have software written for dual and 64-bit, so the help, with a 64-bit OS will be observable for video editing, LAN between computers and file downloads past its sell-by date the net. I've be very, amazingly happy next to an AMD Athlon 64-bit 3800+, but then, I run Linux 64-bit. I don't trust Win 64 OS, it can see down to 32-bit emulation mode just whenever.

Short and specific to your cross-question, such a machine would run best, surrounded by my opinion, as an XP (preferably 64-bit) or Linux, choice of 32-bit or 64-bit OS publication. The laptop is a number-cruncher, not a gamer.
You know, if you are doing basic computing and plenty RAM to back up that AMD. It will run only just fine, there's no need to spend extra lolly for Basic stuff...
