Anybody own an HP Pavilion?

Where the wireless make a sort of weird insect-like whine? I know it's the wireless signal because the nouns goes away when I disable the WLAN...

Answer:

That is a bit strange. Wireless does produce CPU usage to go up a short time. It could be a fan is kicking within that causes the whine. On my laptop, I see in the order of 5% CPU usage when the wireless is on. The CPU can not go into it's lowest power mode near that enabled.

Usually a whine is a fan or the power supply.

Any websites that are trustworthy of purchasing a advent Sempron 2800+ charger??

My laptop charger have broken and cannot use my laptop. I have search for ages and cannot find any... Thanks.

Answer:

Universal adapter will NOT hurt your laptop as long as you get the correct one. If you seize the wrong one, Then yes it will. They are safe as i use one on my spare interview laptop and that thing is other plugged in and running. Never have a problem and i have be using it for about 1 1/2 presently
Since Advent is not a big name entrepreneur you don't have highly many option. First would be their own website. They must have some sort of hardware support I assume? Next place would be ebay. If you can't find it surrounded by either place, you might want to try a general charger. Those are generic chargers that often come near several different tips to accommodate different make/models of notebooks. Make sure the tip you requirement is included with the one you buy. An example:

as advent is owned by dsg group u could try their parts company www.partsmaster.co.uk i enjoy used them b4. dont buy one of those universal psu's as the current rating could be differentand could mischief ur laptop

I own a macbook, just get it. Im new to Mac so conceivably im missing something but its not 2 loud. I have the output volume turned adjectives the way up contained by system preferences and I have the volume railing all the wy up within whatever application im using Itunes or movies, etc. But its not pretty loud enough. I caould hear it and stuff but ego like it to be a touch louder. Anything I can do other than buy separate speakers or anything similar to that?

Thanks

Answer:

Yeah - I noticed that too. The volume plane of the speakers is actually my simply complaint about my macbook... I'd recommend earpiece over other speakers, as they help preserve the notebook as portable as possible.
nope...unless u wanna damage the speakers contained by the pc

freshly buy some speakers!
Laptops are not made to have stereo nouns. Sorry. The bad point is that macbook speakers point away from you as well. I don't know who the wizard be that came up next to that.
NO but you can buy external speakers or use audio out and connect it to any kind of TV and use the TV approaching a external audio system and connect ipod to it also

Any style to permit integrated graphics card use more memory?

I own a 2nd-generation MacBook with 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory and an Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics card. Unfortunately, the graphics card is pre-programmed to use solitary 64MB of memory, when I need at most minuscule 128MB to run the Windows Vista Aero interface (Business Edition, for college). So...any way to program the graphics card to use 128+ megabytes?

Answer:

Any stores that set up dual boot laptop?

Well I have planned on getting a dell notebook with xp. I'm a computer science principal and didn't wana risk my programs not working on my modern pc for conservatory. Well I check today and they new notebook are out. Yay!.NOT. Now dell only sell 2 notebooks beside xp which neither interest me and I thought about the Dell outlet but even nearby XP is rare.

I call for a notebook for school that can run Textpad an other programming software but at one and the same time I want a good laptop I can upgrade to vista once the support is better for it. A solution for this is dual booting but I'm panicky to to it to myself much less on a brand spankin contemporary pc. Are near any stores like Best Buy that do this service? Thanks for the relieve.

Answer:

Probably BestBuy, but if I were you, I would see if you laptop includes a Vista back-up disk. If so, I would format my HD and install XP, find PartitionMagic, and split my HD in partly, then near my Vista back-up disk install it on the other partition. Thus, when you start up you computer it will ask you if you want to run Vista or XP. I did this for games, I enjoy Vista for the Vista only games and XP for my elder games.
its really not that hard to do, you can start the install of the os, and instead of upgrading you can notify it to do a new install. previously you do that however you ill own to split the hd in 2 pieces c and d the you can choose to do the install of vista or the other xp on d drive and when you boot it will ask you which you want to run, and you can set one as evasion over the other.
First off don't step with Dell as they are rather possibly the worste company especially for laptops. Try HP. Secondly why not just uninstall Vista and put XP on it?

Any solutions for cooling bad my overheating laptop?

I own a latitude d600 and the CPU temp is 45 degrees C and the thorny drive is is also 45 degrees. I'm running a program call I8kfanGUI which lets you control the fan. I turned the fan to high-ranking which lowered the temp of the CPU but not the hard drive. Does anyone enjoy any suggestions on a way to lower the temp of the tricky drive?

Answer:

I have a simular problem. There are pad that you can place under your laptop near built in fan. The fans are powered by the laptop's USB port. I give attention to this is the best solution I've seen. Some of them aren't too bulky and look OK. I know that Comp-USA sell some.
dont sit it on a bed or couch or smething so that the fans on the bottom cant procure any air, if its not getting nouns then the speed doesnt event, sit it on a table or something, if you want to use it in bed later get one of those breakfast within bed trays to sit it on and use it, it seems stupid but thats what i enjoy and its actually a convenience
Well for a notebook that sounds close to you got pious temp. Cpu temp. max is 60 c. You could clean the fan out and clean prehistoric cpu paste and replace beside some good one. You could also buy
